It only took me 4 years to get a Jinger pup to keep, but boy was she worth the wait! Fiona is a very special dog, from her intelligence and class, to her rough coat and blue eyes. She is a very clear mixture of both of her parents(Jinger & Clark) both in stock work and as a pet. Her favorite thing to do is play and walk around with a toy in her mouth. She likes to "talk" so don't be alarmed if she comes up to you growling when you meet her-especially if she has a toy in her mouth she just has to growl for joy that someone came to see her! :D
High toy and food drive, loves to train and learn, Fiona is very handler focused when working but can be very independent and entertain herself well when not working-not an in-your-face dog like her sire. She is stable and confident, environment and dog neutral, still working a bit on her people distraction out in public-but that's a good problem to have! I take Fiona with me almost everywhere I go, and she takes it all in a stride.
Fiona is just getting going good on stock and is looking extremely promising. She is fast and stylish with loads of balance. She is very confident and has a clean nose bite, doesn't get locked on and chasing but can release and regroup nicely. Fiona understands what different stock needs and adjusts her bite accordingly, making her my go to dog for all classes of livestock work. If I can grow with her instead of impede her progress, Fiona is going to be a force to be reckoned with in a future.
