*Jinger is retired from breeding.*
Jinger is a little dog that is all heart, and no job is too big for her. She has a "bombproof" bold, solid temperament in all situations, takes everything in stride, is a brilliantly smart dog, and the fastest I've ever had to pick up on new concepts and commands. She can go anywhere and do anything with me from going to the cafe and public events, or mountain sledding or backpacking/camping trips. Very high drive but with an extremely well installed off switch, she is the perfect balance of working dog and pet. Her intense stare when training or working will pierce right through you and has earned her the name of "laser beam eyeballs."
Though just a happy-go-lucky dog in general, she's all business when working, shows no fear with livestock, and doesn't back down. She has quite a bit of natural talent and sees the big picture. Jinger has challenged me more than any other dog in relation to stock work and does much better on jobs she knows and can do on her own, than jobs she needs to take direction to complete. She’s a lot of dog to handle and is definitely not for most people.
Jinger is truly almost everything I'm looking for in a dog. A confident, lovable, playful, biddable pet, and a working machine(that isn't quite so biddable!) at the flip of a switch.
Jinger is Paw Print Genetics and Optimal Selection panel clear, including EOAD.
